Call for Papers
The Organising Committee invites researchers, engineers, policymakers, and industry professionals to submit original full research papers for EATA 2027.
The forty highest-ranked papers will be published in a special online issue of Road Materials and Pavement Design and presented at the conference.
Journal Submission Steps
- Log in to the Taylor & Francis submission portal.
- Click "Submit an article."
- Select Road Materials and Pavement Design from the journal drop-down menu.
- Upload your manuscript and ensure that all required submission information is completed in accordance with the RMPD template and the specified submission requirements. Manuscripts should include page numbers and line numbers to facilitate the review process. Authors are recommended to keep their manuscripts between 5,000 and 8,000 words. Submissions exceeding 10,000 words are discouraged.
- Under "Manuscript Details," select Special Issue from the available options, as shown in the screenshot below.
Tentatively, twenty-four papers will be selected for traditional 20-minute podium presentations, while sixteen papers will be concisely presented (7 min) and further discussed in two rounds of parallel one-hour interactive sessions designed to encourage greater audience engagement and exchange of ideas.
Submissions are invited on, but not limited to, the following topics:
- Advanced laboratory testing and characterisation of asphalt materials
- Binder modification and performance enhancement
- Bio-based solutions for asphalt pavements
- Incorporation of innovative, alternative, and waste-derived materials
- Recycling technologies and circular use of materials
- Advanced modelling, simulation, and performance prediction
- Digitalisation and artificial intelligence in pavement applications
- Data-driven pavement management and infrastructure analytics
- Field monitoring, instrumentation, and smart pavements
- Pavement maintenance, rehabilitation, and preservation strategies
- Green public procurement, circularity, and life-cycle thinking
- Economic, environmental, and social assessment of road infrastructure
- Low-carbon, net-zero emissions, and decarbonisation pathways
- Pavement surface characteristics and functional pavements
- Asphalt pavement resilience and climate adaptation
- Innovations in specifications, design, production, and construction
